Do I need to book an appointment?

No — just walk in. For most screen and battery repairs, you can come straight to our shop on Sea Road and we'll get started right away. Calling ahead is helpful for complex jobs, but never required.

How long do repairs take?

Most phone screen replacements take 30–45 minutes. Battery swaps and charging port repairs are similar. Laptop repairs and water damage recovery can take a bit longer — we'll always give you a realistic estimate upfront.

Will I lose my data?

For screen, battery and port repairs — no. Your data stays completely safe. For software issues or serious water damage, we'll always try to preserve your data first, and we offer backup services before any major work begins.

Do you offer a warranty on repairs?

Yes — all our repairs come with a warranty on parts and labour. If the same fault comes back, bring it in and we'll fix it. We use quality parts so this rarely happens, but the cover is there for your peace of mind.

Can you fix water-damaged phones?

Often yes. Water damage recovery depends on how quickly you bring the device in and how severe it is. We've saved plenty of phones people thought were dead — bring it in and we'll assess it for free.

Do you charge for diagnostics?

Never. Diagnostics are always free at PC & Fonetech — we'll tell you exactly what's wrong before you spend a penny. If we can't fix it, you won't owe us anything.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, card and mobile payments. You only pay once the repair is done and you're happy with it — no payment is taken before work begins.

Can you pick up my device if I can't come in?

Yes — we offer a pick-up and drop-off service. Give us a call on 0191 549 9833 or send us a WhatsApp message and we'll arrange something that suits you.
